Saturday ~ Featured Artist ~ Fourtails Lampwork

Lampwork Artisans make gorgeous glass beads using a gas fueled torch to melt molten glass around narrow, stainless steel rods. The glass bead is held in the flame of a torch, then layered and manipulated in a variety of ways. These beads are fabulous and will add uniqueness and beauty to your designs.

One of my favorite Lampwork Artists is Four Tails Lampwork from Atlanta, Ga. I love the beads I have purchased from her. Many of her color combinations have a transparency that creates depth and wonderfully interacts with light. Her beads and jewelry are mini works of art.

Four Tails Lampwork is a one-woman, three-cat craft studio. She has what she describes as "three vocal cats who collectively are three of the four tails for whom my storefront is named. The fourth feline now lives with a friend, where he is much happier." Four Tails is a member of the Self-Representing Artists list, #W-50, a member of Southern Flames, the Etsy Creative Glass Guild, the Etsy Supplies Street Team, and the Glass Haven Etsy Street Team.

I just love lampwork beads, each one is a little work of art! I have a small stash of some I have purchased from etsy artists. Thanks for the post - enjoyed the eye candy!!

What beautiful work! I'm amazed by this form of art. I shy away from any medium that could potentially injure me more than a glue gun ~ lol I'll have to stop by her shops to see more of her wonderful beads. Thank you for sharing!
