Friday My Town Shootout ~ Interesting Signs

Si along came up with this weeks Photo topic - "Interesting and amusing signs around your hometown."
Great theme but I have to admit it has been a hectic week for me. I did come up with one great photograph. This sign is on Route 1 in Kennebunk, a very busy street. A family erected it in front of their home after a moose was frequently seen in their front yard and they were seriously concerned that it may get hit by a car.
Be sure to check out the rest of the groups photos at Friday My Town Shootout!

Love it! My daughter an I took a road trip to Maine late one fall; we wanted to see the colors but she was desperate to see a "real live moose." The latter didn't happen but all else was awash in brilliance.

I LOVE that sign! I remember seeing those in northern Idaho! It is sooo bizarre! It is like seeing a kangaroo sign in Australia! So bizarre! Thanks for sharing!

When I think Moose, I don't know why, but I really don't think Maine. I think Alaska, or Canada, or even Washington. Cool sign!

I love Bullwinkle! We had a moose in our backyard the morning Princess Anne was married for the first time to Mark. I was up at 4am to watch the wedding. When was that? 1976? old, old, old! =D

Cool sign. I thought it was to protect the car & those inside, though, not the moose! I've hit a deer and the damage was pretty bad but I'm guessing a moose could really do you in!

It would be hard to miss seeing a moose in the middle of your street, but the sign is still helpful isn't it? And funny!
