Monday Musings

Yesterday, my husband and I volunteered to pour wine at Share Our Strength's Taste of the Nation Culinary Benefit in Portland, Maine. It was a gorgeous day on the waterfront with cool breezes and even a bit of sunshine. We had looked forward all month to helping out with this event and strongly support the groups mission to end childhood hunger in America by 2015. We were thrilled that 100% of the proceeds raised by this particular Taste of the Nation Benefit in Portland went directly to organizations in Maine that feed children: Preble Street Teen Center, East End Kids Katering, Good Shepherd Food Bank, and Cultivating Communities. Check out the video below which explains in a very creative way, a bit about childhood hunger and how we can all "share our strength" and make a difference. After viewing the video check out Share Our Strength’s website for suggestions of ways you, your family and friends can get involved: www.shareourstrength.org
