Happy 100th Birthday, Grand Central Terminal! To celebrate their 100th anniversary, Arts for Transit invited Improv Everywhere and a group of 135 performers to illuminate the grand windows on the West side of the historic landmark. Equipped with a variety of LED lights, the group brought smiles to the faces of passersby on the Main Concourse, with their sudden appearance along three floors of windows, creating a luminous shower of light for the people below. Improv Everywhere is a New York City-based collective that causes scenes of absurdity and joy in public places. Created in August of 2001 by Charlie Todd, Improv Everywhere has executed over 100 missions involving tens of thousands of undercover agents.
