Monday Musings ~

It's that time of year again! We refer to it as "Mud Season".  Early Spring in Maine is quite unique. March is much different than say later on in May when you see the stereotypical flowers and forsythia blooming. The snow will soon melt away, but for now, here are some of the signs of Spring I see in the month of March...leaving me hopeful of those warmer days right around the corner.

*I love daylight savings - still light at 6:00 PM!
*Maple Syrup buckets dotting the "treescape".
*Muddy Roads and Potholes (sounds like a Shel Silverstein book of poem).
*Bright orange Road signs.
*Tree limb debris and many pine cones peeking out from the melting snow.
*Watching the return of birds from their winter migration.
*Goldfinch feathered friends are beginning to show their summer yellow.
*Seasonal shops beginning to come to life in Kennebunkport.
What signs of spring are you noticing in your area?
