Saturday Food Feature ~

I love the simple combination of fruit paired with chocolate - raspberry, strawberry, pears... Here is a recipe I found via Murmures from Montreal.

les petits nuages ~ chaussons poire & chocolat (small clouds slippers ~ pear and chocolate)

chocolate chips
puff pastry
brown sugar 

Preheat oven to 350 F. Peel and seed pears, and cut into thin slices with a cookie cutter shape of your choice (or your own free hand artistry), cut several pieces of puff pastry into the shape (clouds are shown here). Garnish with pear and a few chocolate chips. Close the cloud sealed by pressing the edges. Sprinkle a little brown sugar on each so that it caramelizes! Place on a baking sheet and Bake for 20 minutes.
